What is a training contract?

A training contract is a learnership contract for 3 years or more (depending on your qualifications when you join the firm). A training contract must be served at a registered training firm with SAICA accreditation.

Your training contract is the practical component of your studies towards the CA (SA) designation. During the 3 years you spend at PKF, you will be given the opportunity to apply the knowledge you gained during your Undergraduate and CTA studies to real world situations.

How are graduate appointments made?

Appointments are the mandate of each member firm alone. However, by applying through our online application portal you can easily apply to any of our member firms and ensure that your application is forwarded to the relevant firms you are interested in applying at. You can apply for your SAICA Training Contract or Vacation Work.

Do all firms offer Vacation Work?

Yes, all member firms offer Vacation Work. Please view our SAICA Training Contract page for more information on when firms offer Vacation Work.

Are there opportunities to work overseas?

Yes. PKF South Africa is part of an international network of firms. The PKF GO Programme offers secondments to staff from member firms within the PKF International network for periods between three months and two years.

How do I join the PKF Experience?

How do remuneration packages work?

Remuneration packages differ from firm to firm and region to region, although group firms do offer competitive remuneration packages for their respective regions.
