About the position

Purpose of the role:

To perform all duties related to payroll for clients of the business.

  • Loading and termination of employees
  • Employee data changes and updates
  • Monthly and weekly payrolls
  • EMP201/501 input
  • Leave and other statutory Administration
  • Client Service

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in same or similar role
  • VIP Payroll Experience Compulsory
  • Basic tax knowledge advantageous

Key Duties and Responsibilities – Key Performance Indicators:

  • Processing of salaries and wages
  • Providing employees with sealed payslips
  • Generating detailed payroll reports for clients
  • Preparing electronic transfer files for net salaries of employees
  • Completion and submission of EMP201 and EMP501 returns.
  • Assisting clients with SARS queries as far as Employee Tax is concerned
  • UI19 registrations
  • Workmen’s Compensation and RMA returns
  • Advising clients on salary restructuring as and when needed
  • Advising clients on employee fringe benefits
  • Any other reasonable adhoc duties as and when required by management

  • Microsoft Office and Excel
